Good Ways to Get to Sleep!

Most problems sleeping at night come down to the same thing: nagging, or even low back pain. Just about everyone has spent hours — sometimes even an entire night — tossing and turning and trying to get comfortable in spite of backaches. These pains are all too common, with many people suffering from some kind of back low pain. Thankfully, there are ways to help mitigate back pain — so you can sleep better at night

Try Muscle Relaxation

Getting rid of aches, pains, and knots is the first step to getting a good night’s sleep. There are several routines that can help relax muscles — and help you prepare for sleep, both physically and mentally. Progressive muscle relaxation involves systematically tensing and relaxing muscles; you generally target one group of muscles at a time, until you have worked through the entire body.

Take a Warm Bath

There is a reason things like IcyHot and heating pads exist. Heat has been proven to offer temporary relief and help with low back pain. You can enjoy the same effects without the chemicals present in hot patches like IcyHot — and you can do it with a warm bath. The hot water will relax your muscles and may help relieve simple tension that builds up during the day.

Adjustable Beds Are More Comfortable

Sometimes, a flat mattress just isn’t comfortable — and there’s only so much you can do about it. Instead of propping yourself up with tons of pillows, putting a pillow between your knees, and tossing and turning to try to get comfortable, consider purchasing an adjustable bed. Adjustable beds can be manipulated into thousands of different positions, meaning that you’re certain to find one that suits you.
