Different Types of Insomnia

Acute Insomnia: This type of insomnia can be caused by a change in a person’s life. Sometimes, it is stress that can be from a job change, too much travel or worry.

Chronic Insomnia: This type of insomnia can be a longer term of experiencing difficulty sleeping. If you are having trouble sleeping or staying awake up to three days a week, then you may be experiencing this type of insomnia.

Comorbid Insomnia: This insomnia can occur when there are other conditions present. Depression and or anxiety can be present with this type of insomnia.

Whatever type of insomnia you are experiencing can be upsetting to ones being and literally exhausting. See a physician if you are feeling like you need to get a better night’s sleep.
